Description - You just took on your first assessing unit. Now what? How do you do “the stuff”? The goal of the class is to put your educational foundation into practical reality. This class will be a hands-on interactive class utilizing BS&A Assessing.net to walk you through what it is an assessor does throughout the assessment cycle. This is not a valuation class. Students will be provided a database to work from while being guided through the assessment cycle from rolling over the database to equalizing the assessment roll and everything in between; such as utilizing generic data exports to clean up data entry, sale data entry, entering splits, sales, special acts utilizing GIS, entering special acts, board of review administration, and calculating and inputting land values and ECFs.
This is a workshop where students will be required to bring a laptop that has BSA Assessing.Net installed. Participants will be provided with a database that will need to be loaded onto their laptop prior to class.
