Six Hour Mandatory Renewal Session

As previously announced, all assessing officers will be required to complete a mandatory 6-hour renewal program for each of the next three annual certification renewal periods (in addition to meeting other renewal requirements).

STC Issues Revised L-4154/627 Form

The State Tax Commission at their meeting on October 14, 2008 approved the new L-4154/627 petition forms.  These forms are now available on the L-4154 Petition website.  This is to notify you that the forms can be used immediately and that after January 1, 2009 the STC will only accept the new petition form for any requests from Assessor’s or Equalization Directors and  alternate forms will not be accepted.  After January 1, 2009, any petitions received on the old form will be held until a correct form is submitted.

The Michigan Assessors Association has added two new membership benefit to the MAA website.  Members can now upload a copy of their resume or business description to the membership profile as well as post a link to their community or business website in their membership profile.  Links to resumes and business descriptions, as well as websites will then appear next to your name on the 'Membership Search' page.
